Next Tuesday, August 26th is the Annual Eagle Rock Elementary Back to School Night from 6:00-7:30p. There will be two 40 minute sessions (6:00-6:40 & 6:50-7:30) so you can attend more than one presentation . This is an opportunity to hear from your child's teacher what the instructional goals are for this year an is an adult event. Please arrange childcare.

Forty five years ago today 07/20/69, Neil Armstrong became first man to walk on moon @kidsgov @nasa The mission, Apollo 11, was a United States mission, and the first successful one to the moon. Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins were the astronauts aboard the mission, and both Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin got to walk on the moon. From NASA, "The primary objective of Apollo 11 was to complete a national goal set by President John F. Kennedy on May 25, 1961: perform a crewed lunar landing and return to Earth."  Twelfth Night | The Taming of the Shrew | A Merry Wind Blows | #ShakespeareSetFree Bring the whole family as the Independent Shakespeare Company (ISC) returns to offer another exciting summer with their very popular and wonderfully entertaining "Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival." All performances are free, though donations are gratefully accepted. Remember to bring a blanket or low-backed lawn chair. It gets cool when the sun goes down, so bring something warm to wear and please, no dogs.

The Eagle Rock Elementary Annual Paper Drive is on! Last year through your generous contributions, our school community donated enough multi-purpose white paper to make it though half of the school year. THANK YOU! As our school continues to improve its use of paper; however, there is still a tremendous volume of paper usage on account of flyers, forms, etc. Please consider making a donation of White, 8 1/2 inch x 11 inch Multipurpose (20 lb) paper.
Donations are being accepted every Friday at the Spirit Assembly in addition to our Curbside Dropoff event scheduled for Saturday, May 31 from 8:00a - 11:00a on Fair Park Ave. Thank you for your continued |
